flying is easy; all you have to do is throw yourself at the ground and miss
This has been a horrid week. Horrid. Starting with last Friday. I received word of my grandma falling and breaking her hip, have screwed up big time at work, paid 920$ for car repairs, unintentionally offended/pissed off/stepped on the toes of just about everyone I know (slight exaggeration, but it has been a record number of people), exhibited my shocking lack of soccer ability, accomplished very little either at work or at home, proved multiple times that I have not mastered either basic French or Russian skills, displayed my complete ignorance on a variety of subjects, and just shoddy all around. Grrr. Oh, and the a/c went out at the house and today is supposed to be a record-setting high. Did I mention that it was a horrid week? HOW is it not over yet!!!
I did sell the twin bed. Finally. And for a good price. That was a good thing. There have been other good things, but as it always happens, the bad seem to hog all the attention.
Anyway, I've been trying to put out fires all week and today has been especially bad; I actually enjoy putting out fires, but not ones that I've started. And unintentionally, too. I hate that. I also hate making mistakes because then who will trust the information I give? Often, I feel like I make more mistakes around here than several people put together. Not a very motivating or comforting feeling. Grrr.
Vent vent vent. I'm done now. Thanks for listening, er, reading.

Sorry to hear that it's been such a rough week, Cari dear. I'm glad that Grandma's doing okay now, though. And I can scarcely imagine anyone staying mad at you for long.
As far as making mistakes go, all indications are that you're only human, and besides, you work for NASA. Until you confuse metric and English units and crash a probe, you're fine.
Chin up, babycakes, and stay cool... -SEH-
